John Russo DDS, MHS
Dr. John Russo is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he also earned a Masters of Health Science degree. At the present time, Dr. Russo is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina, and he is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. A nationally recognized expert in dental implants and bone grafting, Dr. Russo lectures across the United States, Canada, and Mexico to share his knowledge with other dentists. Dr. Russo private practice is located in Sarasota, Florida. He diagnoses and treats periodontal (gum) disease, performs periodontal plastic surgery procedures, and helps patients who are missing some, or all, of their teeth by placing dental implants. Dr. Russo works closely with many excellent restorative dentists in the area to give patients the benefit of the combined expertise of a specialist and a restorative dentist. Dr. Russo and his wife are the proud parents of three boys, two of whom are fraternal twins. His hobby is saltwater fishing, and he participates in team fishing tournaments. His boat is aptly named “My Three Sons”. Dr. Russo is also a musician and plays lead guitar in a band called “Dr. Rx FEELGOOD”.
