Kathi Carlson is a Trainer for The Implant Consortium, with over 30 years of dental experience, the last 17 years focused to implant dentistry.  A graduate of Indiana University’s Certified Dental Assisting Program, Ms. Carlson is currently Surgical Staff Faculty for the Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan.  Kathi has lectured nationally as well as internationally for numerous implant based organizations.  She has also developed in-office training programs focused to the implant practice. 

 You are officially invited to attend a Surgical Auxiliary Training seminar.  This day long program will be hosted by Implant Educators.  

Topics to include:

                An overview of implant placement; the assistant’s role during   

               surgery

                Bone density and how it affects your patients

                Communication skills to increase patient acceptance

                Inventory control, how to develop and maintain it

                Creating and maintaining a sterile field in the surgical    

               environment (didactic)

                Preparing and dismissing the patient

                Scrubbing up!  Preparing the surgical team (surgical scrub- 

               gowning-gloving)
